System Report

Robertson Air Systems, utilizing our 18 years of experience in the bus vacuuming industry, has now developed the new 4" blow/vac hose bus vacuuming system.   The 4" blow/vac system provides operators the benefit of finger touch controlled blowing (sweeping) and vacuuming through one lance nozzle as well as unsurpassed vacuum power through a 4" lance opening.

No more reaching to every square inch of bus space to fully vacuum each bus.  The operator simply presses the hand held remote control switch to begin blowing/sweeping toward the back of the bus after first vacuuming the drivers seat area with the 2" blow/vac lance.  The operator may instantly switch back to vacuuming at anytime to reach those hard to get to spots.  When the operator reaches the back door, the 2" blow/vac lance is turned off and placed down on the bus floor, and the 4" lance (located at the back door) is then used to vacuum all the accumulated debris.  The 2" blow/vac nozzle and hose is rewound, without assistance, by pressing the handheld remote control switch. The 4" lance and hose is also automatically rewound by pressing the hand held remote control switch.

Robertson Air Systems is the only company presently to offer a 4" lance opening with a 12,500 fpm pick-up velocity which provides 2 to 3 times the vacuum power compared to conventional 3" hose vacuum systems.  The 4" nozzle has a vacuuming sweeping action that reaches out approximately 5" to grab objects and easily picks up bottles cans and rolled up newspapers.  The hose reels internal piping is 4" for the 2" lance and 5" for the 4" lance and is oversized to prevent plugging.
